This faceplate and assembly is very nice.

The gasket sealing against the wall is rubber and is much better than the piece of foam on the original. I added a bead of clear caulk on the gasket to provide a better seal with the wall.

I replaced the seals in the valve unit while it was apart and would recommend that if your valve has been in place for a number of years. These were very inexpensive.

The handle provided will not replace a lever handle. I needed to order a Delta lever handle to get everything to work.

Now that it is finished, it appears to be an original installation.

This was an easy install. The only problem is the handle. While the face plate has remained the same, the handle that Delta uses has evolved from a knob to a lever, to now an anti-scald lever. The handle provided does not service the last two.

I contacted Danco and they had no handle that would work. I ended up ordering a Delta faucet handle in the same finish that should work fine.

The look of these parts is excellent.
