I use this in my car to play my MP3 files through my stereo. It works perfectly and is much better than an RF transmitter.

My mother wanted this as a Christmas present so she can listen to her CDs in the car. Nowadays Best Buy only carries the Ipod adapter. I looked at 6, 7 places before I found this site. I'm so glad they had it, just in case I ordered two. Working great [...]

The sound is good. The mechanism meant to fool the tape player into thinking a tape is still playing along so that it doesn't switch directions works well in my car. That is the main problem with these cassette adapters - with some models, even ones with similar mechanisms, the player switches back and forth continuously, causing a lot of wear and tear on the player and making an annoying clicking sound. I thought Philips, the company that invented the cassette, could make it work and they did.
