It's been 3 weeks since i bought this kettle. It works great but still smells like plastic! I've never had a black one before so i'm not sure if the color would make a difference but my white ones never smelled (T-fal, Bosch)I hope the smell will go away since it is still brand new. I recommed this product strongly to those who are a little bit lazy like me and don't feel like running back to the kitchen to turn off the kettle. Good luck with your purchase.

We use this everyday for coffee in the morning for our french presses (2) and for hot tea anytime. It is very fast and efficient. I bought this model because it matched one we had had for over 7 years that suddently died.

I bought this as a present for my boyfriend. He seems to really like it! He makes tea with it almost everyday, and it's so easy. It boils the water really fast. It's so easy and simple. Love it.

Does exactly what it is supposed to. Water is truly hot and stays that way for a long time. Easy to fill. Easy to see amount of water in pot. Measurements on side are not exact.

I chose this kettle because of good reviews on [...]. I was not disappointed. There is simply nothing wrong w/ this kettle -- boils quickly, perfect temperature, easy to pour, not too noisy, reasonably attractive. Auto shut off or it shuts off when you lift it off its base.

It takes a bit longer to boil than the one I used in England, but I suspect that has more to do with the difference in the amount of power that's coming to it than it does with the actual product.
It is still pretty quick, very easy to use, and a decent price.

I bought this with a slight bit of trepidation as I had been using another brand for years. I am totally happy with my choice of Braun. Water boils quickly, automatic shut-off is great and so safe (I have burned many a teapot and pan due to distractions). I like the fact that you can take the kettle off the heating plate to pour and can also sit the kettle on the plate in any direction. (I'm a lefty). Don't hesitate to purchase this kettle. It's a winner!

The cord gets stowed away neatly so it's not all over your counter. Water boils in no time. Turns off automatically even if you forget. All in all, a fabulous item!!

I ordered this product after farely extensive research. It has met all my expectations. It's easy to handle and unbelievably fast. Great purchase.
Ive been using the kettle daily for a few months. It's very convenient next to my desk to be able to have coffee/tea anytime I want. The kettle is very sturdy and doesn't get hot when you boil water. Just the water gets hot, and stays hot for quite a long time. The kettle lifts off the base (which plugs into the wall) so that you dont have to deal with tangling cords. Automatic off is a big plus, because I can just press the button an leave for a bit to come back to a kettle full of boiling water. There's no funny plastic taste, which I was initially worried about because I heard some people experience that with plastic kettles. It's a bit more expensive than other models I considered buying, but so far no regrets!
This thing is the best !!! I recommend it, it is really fast and looks nice.

I have had the white version of this hotpot at work for four or five years and it's still going strong. I was super pleased to find it in black which matches our kitchen at this good a price when our old hotpot stopped reliably turning off when it finished boiling. (Our cat accidentally turned to old one on; it had to reliably turn itself off. Neat thing about this one is that he can't even turn it on.) Can't beat it.

I've had the Braun WK200B for a month or so now and use it everyday to heat water for my tea. My wifes loves it for boiling water for her oatmeal. I also use it boil water for hot dogs to cook them quicker. It works exactly as advertised. It heats the water quickly, shuts off once it boils, no leaks. Absolutely no complaints with it. All in all I am very pleased with it and intend to give one for Christmas to my sister-in-law who also loves tea.

Use the kettle nearly everyday. Have one at home and one at work. Very quick and worth the money.
