This hot water dispenser is great. I was pleasantly surprised that it heated my water so rapidly. The size of the dispenser is quite compact, and the price is reasonable. The only thing I can say that would make me like an already perfect dispenser is that, although the dispenser is very easy to fill and is lightweight, it would be great if it had a removable water reservoir/tank (as I have to carry the entire unit back to the sink to empty it of any unused water). Besides that minor wish of mine, the unit is certainly perfect when you need hot water almost instantly. Highly recommend.

I have had Sunbeam HotShots in my family since the 1970's. The last one I had was leaking a bit after about 10 years. (I can't complain.) This one is a new design with the start button in the back and a little more space underneath. I like the new design.

All in all a great product. It boils water in about 45 seconds then pours it into your cup.

One word of caution: If you accidently start it with the bowl empty, unplug it NOW. Running the unit dry will damage it. You need at least 1/4 cup of water in it when you start the cycle for the thermal switch to work right.

My first Hot Shot lasted 15 years and still heated water until I got this new one. The only problems I had with the first one were caused by occasionally turning it on by accident when there was no water in it. This cause the valve to deteriorate over time with slow leaks. This is less likely with my new Hot Shot because the 'heat' button is now located on top and not near the 'dispense' button so I'm less likely to trip the wrong button when I heat my coffee at 4:30 am.
