This is a cute, country looking drink dispenser. It did not come with directions about operating the spigot, which one would think to be simple; however, it took us a while to figure out that you screw the silver button on the spigot (righty tighty-lefty loosey) to dispense the liquid. A BIG word of caution - DO NOT unscrew the button too far or it will come off and you will have the contents gushing out all over the place.

It dispenses a bit slowly, doesn't hold quite the gallon advertised, and I was disappointed that the wire clasp on top was not centered with the spigot. It comes with a warning not to carry it by the wire clasp - a bit disappointing but on the plus side, the spigot does not leak.

Pretty good product for my purpose - to make sun tea in something other than a plastic jug. For a party, I would go with something more upscale.

I love these jars and so does everyone... I send them as gifts... they make a great continuous brewing system for kombucha tea and they're just great... the spigot is a little hard to work with but they just have a good vib... I just like to look at mine ... it is pure Americana..thanks

You have to break the airtight seal to get a real good flow out of the spigot. That is ok. The spigot is still a little hard to work with but it is a great continuous fermenting system for kombucha and great for sun tea and lemonade... it is pure Americana and everyone loves it...
